Auditioning Should be Easier
Performing on stage is an exhilarating experience. But traditionally the audition process has been painful and time-consuming. Â To start, it can be hard simply keeping track of all the auditions that are happening.
With so many independent theatre groups, it’s easy to miss a great opportunity. Second, researching shows can be a tedious, time-consuming process. You want to make sure that you are focusing on the productions that actually need actors with your specific type and skill set. Lastly, most auditions require that you prepare a monologue or a song.  Finding the right monologues and songs can take even more of your precious time.
There Must Be a Better Way
While a student at Stanford University, StageAgent founder Jason Engleman, experienced a common actor’s dilemma: with three impending casting calls the next day, how was he to prepare? Jason wasn’t familiar with any of the three shows, and faced the prospect of spending hours at the library researching these shows and their associated characters.  Like most performers, Jason would rather spend his time singing, acting and dancing.  He realized that there must be a better, more efficient way.  Soon, StageAgent.com was born.
