I spend a lot of time talking to other artists. I have noticed that I often hear
(as well as say) the phrase: “I wish I knew _______ before I started.” After
hearing this over and over for years I realized…why don’t we help those
coming after us know the things we wish we knew? In this new blog series
titled I Wish I Knew, I will be interviewing people in the theater and on
camera business to get some answers. Whether you are an aspiring or
established artist, you will find pearls of wisdom in the words of some
experts in the field. These words may be exactly what you’ve been looking
For my first interview, I reached out to my friend and colleague Stefanée
Martin. She is a brilliant actress who has experience in both the theater and
TV/Film worlds. I hope her story inspires you as much as she inspires me!

In the next edition of our Playwright Chronicles blog series, we spoke to several of the new playwrights featured on StageAgent to find out who, or what, influenced their own work. We were fascinated to discover which playwrights had inspired them, along with key productions that have had a significant impact on their style of writing.
Here at StageAgent we have had a busy few months adding guides for exciting new works. Working with a host of new playwrights from across the globe, our catalogue of shows now also features a wide-range of guides for new full-length and one-act plays and musicals. We have built up fascinating new relationships with our diverse and inspiring group of new playwrights.
We were interested in learning what inspires these playwrights creatively, why they started out as a writer, and the challenges they have faced along the way. Over the course of a series of new blog posts, we will be asking playwrights to share their experiences and shine a light on how they set about writing many of the new works that are featured on StageAgent. First up, we are very pleased to introduce a wonderful playwright, Marco Antonio Rodriguez!
